Insurance & Financial


  •   We are a self-pay (cash-based) clinic to ensure:  Faster access to care without insurance delays.  More personalized treatment (insurance often restricts medication options).  Transparent pricing with no surprise bills.  Flexible programs not dictated by insurance requirements.   We provide superbills that you may submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement (check with your provider). 

  • We require 24 hours’ notice for cancellations to accommodate other patients. Please review our complete Client Policies for details on no-show fees and other important guidelines.

  • We accept all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover) for your convenience.

The Weight Loss Program & Medication


  • Our medically supervised weight loss program combines personalized nutrition plans, FDA-approved medications (when appropriate), lifestyle coaching, and ongoing support to help you achieve sustainable results. After a thorough health evaluation, our providers will design a plan tailored to your needs, including metabolic testing (if applicable) and regular follow-ups. 

  • GLP-1 (glucagon-like peptide-1) receptor agonists are FDA-approved . Medications originally developed for type 2 diabetes but now widely used for obesity treatment. They mimic a natural hormone that regulates appetite, blood sugar, and digestion. 

  • Yes, in addition to GLP-1 injectables, our medical evaluation may include FDA-approved oral medications such as Phentermine (e.g., Adipex-P®), Contrave® (naltrexone/bupropion), or others when clinically appropriate. If an oral medication is prescribed, the prescription will be sent electronically to your local retail pharmacy of choice (e.g., CVS, Walgreens, etc.) for convenient pickup.

    Please note, compounded medications are only utilized when a specific, customized dosage is required as determined by your provider and prepared by a licensed compounding pharmacy.


  • Reduces hunger: Acts on brain receptors to increase satiety and decrease cravings.  Slows stomach emptying: Helps you feel full longer, reducing calorie intake.  Improves insulin sensitivity: Supports fat metabolism and blood sugar control.

  • Our providers may prescribe FDA-approved brand-name medications (e.g., Wegovy®, Zepbound™) or, when appropriate and legally permissible, physician-supervised compounded alternatives. Compounded medications are prepared by licensed, certified pharmacies based on a specific prescription. We will discuss the most suitable, safe, and effective option for you during your consultation.

  • Semaglutide (Wegovy®): Average loss of 15–20% of body weight over 68 weeks. Tirzepatide (Zepbound®): Average loss of 20–25% over 72 weeks. Results are enhanced with diet/exercise.

  • Beyond weight loss, GLP-1s may:  Lower blood pressure and LDL cholesterol.  Reduce risk of heart disease and stroke.  Improve blood sugar control (A1C reduction).  Potentially lower risks of dementia, addiction, and kidney disease. 

  • Common side effects: Nausea, constipation, or diarrhea (usually temporary).  Rare risks: Pancreatitis or gallbladder issues (including gall stones), Severe gastrointestinal (GI) diseases, Pregnancy, breastfeeding, or planning pregnancy, Allergy to GLP-1 ingredients, Severe kidney or liver disease. Not recommended for those with a history of medullary thyroid cancer (MTC) or Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia syndrome type 2 (MEN-2), History of eating disorders (anorexia/bulimia).  

  • Some drugs may interact, including:  Insulin or sulfonylureas (risk of low blood sugar).  Oral medications (GLP-1s slow stomach emptying; timing adjustments may be needed).  Always disclose all medications/supplements to your providers. 

  • Thorough health screening before prescribing.  Regular monitoring (labs, side-effect checks).  Alternative options if GLP-1s aren’t safe for you.

    3. Meet Your Provider: During your first appointment, your provider will review your goals, conduct a health evaluation, and design a fully personalized plan.

    4. Begin Your Program: If medication is appropriate, your prescription is sent directly to our partner pharmacy and shipped to your door. Your ongoing support begins immediately.

  • If a prescription is part of your plan, it is sent electronically to our primary partner pharmacy, Emerald Specialty Pharmacy. They are a licensed, certified pharmacy that will handle dispensing, shipping directly to your door, and patient support for your medication.

  • Yes. We offer a hybrid care model to best serve you. We provide in-person consultations at our clinic in Mayfield Heights, Ohio, and secure telehealth visits for residents across the state of Ohio. This allows us to offer flexible, accessible care to most of the Greater Cleveland area and beyond.
